This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Santa Barbara is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Santa Barbara follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Really unimpressive. Had better experiences here before. I had the bbq bacon burger. Really light on the sauce. Nothing very flavorful about it. A pretty light serving of fries in a cup didn’t help the half empty plate served to me. Both the water jug and napkins we were given were dirty. Not feeling great about spending 60+ for two for an average burger and fries.

I was excited to try this restaurant for the first time, and while the food was excellent and delicious, the customer service was disappointing. When placing our order, I asked our server if unsweetened iced tea was available since I didn’t see it on the menu. He immediately told me that only flavored iced teas were available. Later, when another server brought our food, I asked the same question and was told that unsweetened iced tea was in fact available. He brought it to my table within two minutes and did so with a friendly smile and great attitude. I appreciate the second server for providing excellent service, but it was frustrating to receive incorrect information from the first server. Employees should be knowledgeable about the menu and available beverages. The food was outstanding, but the poor service and lack of product knowledge left a disappointing first impression. I hope management invests more time in training employees so that future guests receive accurate information and a better overall experience.

Went in with my family on a Sunday morning. Seems like a great place to have a meal or some drinks with family and/or friends. Vibes were chill for a Sunday morning. They have $13 lunch menu everyday until 3pm and it’s a great deal! I ordered the Al pastor fish tacos and I was delish but the poke bowl that my dad ordered was the star for me. I usually don’t order tuna because it can taste and smell too fishy but this was good quality tuna.Highly recommend trying it. Service was great! I see a lot of great reviews about their drinks maybe I’ll try them next time. Overall great experience. Tip: park in the structure it’s free for 75mins

Firstly, I want to point out that I came here on a Wed to take advantage of theur $9 dbl smashburger deal. The burger and fries are somewhat small and ordinary. The meat tastes very unseasoned. If I had paid full price ($18) for this then I'd be giving a 1 star review. So the question really boils down to, is it worth getting at 1/2 price on Wed? And I think the answer to that cones down to whether you'd rather get a slightly better, slightly cheaper cheeseburger at Habit for $7.50, or a very unremarkable dbl smash and average fries for $1.50 more at Eureka! You decide. Also, note that if you place a takeout order and then wait at one of the tables outside, they will not bring your food out to you, and they don't have buzzers or anything to let you know when your order is rdy. My final verdict is that there are better options. It's not terrible (at 1/2 price), but then again, why not just go to any of the numerous better burger joints in the area?

This Eureka restaurant, located in the downtown Santa Barbara area, had very above average food. Not great, but very good. The service was a bit lackluster. It was not very busy at this location in the late afternoon early evening, but the staff was moderate at best. They definitely need a bit more training to go by tables after they've ordered and ensure that everything that the customer needs is present. That was not done so water remain unfilled and drinks remained unreplenished. That is not any type of rudeness, just a bit what I would call lack of focus. Overall I would give it 4 stars out of 5 And if they improve their training for customer service I would bounce it up to 4.5 stars. Unlike the other Eureka establishments I have been to, this place was not overly loud, which is a problem at the others, notably Claremont. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you happen to be in the area.
